The Britomart Transport Centre is the public transport hub of downtown Auckland. It combines a bus interchange with a railway station in a former Edwardian post office, extended with expansive post-modernist architectural elements.

The surrounding Britomart Precinct is a place of history with unique heritage, culture and architectural elements. The many heritage buildings have been restored preserving the character of the neighbourhood. A Farmer's Market is held every Saturday, 8.30am-12.30pm.
