The 2010 Northern Regional Salon is open to convention registrants only. The Salon is PRINTS ONLY, there is NO DIGITAL section this year. The competition is open to photographers with any level of experience

Each exhibitor may submit up to two PRINTS and each print will be classified as OPEN.

CLOSING DATE: Friday 1st October 2010 at 5pm. Late entries will not be accepted.

The entry fee is $10 per print.

Cheques are payable to “APS 2010 Regional Conference”. Bank deposit can be made to ASB Account: 12-3209-0437784-00. Particulars: Last Name; Reference: First Name; Code: Salon.

All accepted prints will be exhibited at the convention. Entrants must collect their prints at the end of the convention. Prints will not be mailed back.

 


 

There will be an award made to the champion print and to the print which the judges feel best depicts the “Rhythm of Light”. The winners will each receive a Giclee canvas print voucher valued at $285. This voucher equates to the cost of a 36” x 24” canvas print or any GPL product to the same value.

 

   

 

 

LOWEPRO LUCKY DRAW COMPETITION

Thanks to our event sponsors ALL competition entries will go in a draw for a Lowepro Rolling Trekker AW. Designed for the digital photographer this is a compact rolling bag that can also be used as a backpack, easily storing a pro digital SLR, a 12’ notebook computer, 4-5 lenses and other digital accessories in one compact solution.

 


The Northern Regional Digital Inter-club is open to all photographic clubs in the Northern Region that are members of PSNZ. There is no print inter-club competition this year.

Entries will consist of a selection of eight digital images. There are no requirements for images to fit together or form a set, and each image will be classified as open.

Images must be saved to JPEG with a maximum of 1024 pixels on the horizontal side and 768 pixels on the vertical side. It is recommended but not essential, that the images be saved in the sRGB colour space. Each image is to be named with its Title and .jpg only e.g. Summer Morning.jpg. No other numbering is to be on the image.

Images are to be loaded on to a CD and the CD labelled with the club and competition names with a CD marker. The images themselves or their folder must not be identified with the club’s name.

The discs for the top four selections will be forwarded to the organisers of the Wiltshire Cup. Please refer to PSNZ website for more information on the Wiltshire Cup (www.photography.org.nz/wiltshire.html). The discs for the other entries can be picked up at the Convention.
